Daniella advises on all aspects of employment law representing employers in both the private and public sector.

Daniella has a particular interest in equal pay and has handled complex equal pay test cases, including at the EAT and Court of Appeal stages, which have had far reaching consequences for both the public and private sectors.  Most recently she has been providing support and advice to employers in relation to the new gender pay gap reporting requirements and was a member of the steering group that worked with the Government Equalities Office during the consultation process for the new regulations.

Daniella also works with clients to provide operational solutions to workforce issues.  She has designed and created a number of innovative bespoke HR helplines and associated support services which have allowed clients to restructure resources and maximize the effectiveness of their HR functions.

  • Defending 2500 equal pay claims lodged against 50 distinct NHS Trusts with a potential liability of millions of pounds.  Test cases were taken to the EAT and Court of Appeal
  • Carrying out equal pay risk analysis reports for clients in the retail, health, charity, fire and rescue and financial services sectors
  • Advising a Director in relation to threatened injunction proceedings relating to post termination restrictive covenants.  Negotiated an exit without litigation which included the transfer of shares.
  • Successfully defending a claim for race discrimination, sex discrimination and unfair dismissal in a very sensitive Tribunal claim that attracted significant press attention and possible reputational damage
  • Advising a large independent health care provider on restructuring and a large scale redundancy process
  • Designing and implementing a bespoke operational managers’ HR helpline and supporting resources for 3 distinct clients.  These projects resulted in the upskilling of their managers allowing HR to focus on significant strategic projects
