Ruhul Ayazi is Head of the UK Immigration Practice at Ogletree Deakins and an Of Counsel specialising in Business Immigration. He is also an experienced litigation lawyer.
Ruhul advises on all aspects of UK business immigration and regularly assists multi-national companies with sponsor licence applications and work visa applications – under both Skilled Worker and Global Business Mobility: Senior or Specialist Worker. He advises on sponsorship compliance duties and assists companies in preparing for Home Office audits. In addition, he assists with right-to-work checks and advises companies regarding business visitors. He has advised on applications under the Global Talent Route, Youth Mobility Scheme and Temporary Worker: Government Authorised Exchange. Since Brexit, Ruhul has also offered advice to clients on the EU Settlement Scheme.
Prior to joining Ogletree Deakins, Ruhul was a civil litigator and conducted many cases in the County and High Courts, some of which attracted national media attention. He personally appeared many times before District and Circuit Judges (as well as Masters in the High Court) to present final and interim applications on fast and multi-track cases.
Ruhul has been recognised as a Future Leader and Global Elite Thought Leader in Corporate Immigration by Who’s Who Legal. In addition, he has been shortlisted twice as a Finalist at the London Asian and Business Awards. Ruhul originally trained as a Barrister and was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 2001. He subsequently cross-qualified as a Solicitor in 2006.
